Christian Aid is committed to the People in Aid Code of Good Practice.
Christian Aid believes that excellent staff and good management are crucial to the success of the organisation.
Our staff are essential to the achievements we make delivering humanitarian assistance in complex situations, and in building capacity of vulnerable populations.
That’s why we’ve committed ourselves to the People in Aid Code of Good Practice.
Setting a standard
The code sets out clear standards in all areas of people management, including recruitment and selection, learning and development, consultation and communication.
People in Aid is an international network of relief and development agencies, established to help international NGOs with their accountability and work with the shared belief that the impact and effectiveness of our work depends on the quality of our staff and the support we give them.
Our commitment to the code means that we are prepared to continue to examine our people management practices, get feedback from staff, and make improvements where we need to.
We will also hold all of this up for scrutiny of a People in Aid appointed auditor.
